About the speaker:

Dr Geraldine Tan, Director / Principal Registered Psychologist of The Therapy Room. Dr Tan holds a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (California) and a Masters in Applied Psychology (Singapore). She has more than 2 decades of experience working with individuals with a multitude of psychological problems. She is trained in a number of techniques including, Choice and Reality Therapy (CTRT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also a registered psychologist with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) and she is a member of Crisis Response Network (CRN), working with local and expatriates in times of crisis, conducting Critical Incident Stress Management. Being referred to as the “people’s psychologist”, she acknowledges that education is key for more people to access assistance. 

Synopsis:

This 1.5-hour interactive online talk is designed for staff and students of NTU as part of the World Mental Health Day awareness. Through the informative talk and experiential learning, the audience will learn more about Positive Thinking and ways to apply it to their day-to-day life.
